Mala Beads are a traditional Hindu tool for meditation. 108 is seen as a sacred number and therefore these Mala Beads have 108 beads plus the guru (joining bead). Used as a way to focus the mind, you are to touch each bead and repeat your mantra. The guru bead provides you with a start and stop point for your practice.
